About The Fell Pony

Two families, two farms, and one shared dream nurtured between AJ Miller and Mike Hershberger gave rise to Fell Enterprise. Cousins by marriage, their venture developed as rapidly as their friendship. AJ, owner of the 10-acre Creek Valley Farm, and Mike, owner of Hill Country Acres, intertwined their expertise in breeding horses with their love of Fell Ponies.

With tremendous dedication, AJ has expanded beyond solely breeding Fell Ponies to include; a riding program, an eight-month training program, reproduction services, and ultrasound freelancing. Josh Luke, AJ's oldest son, is already well-equipped to one day assume the legacy of Creek Valley Farms. AJ and his wife Barb's six other children remain fully immersed in working the farm as their age, interest level, and abilities allow. 

Mike, who owns and operates Buckeye Contractors, began breeding Friesians before switching focus to Fell Ponies. His expertise in foaling, combined with AJ's breeding experience, makes for the perfect pair. Twelve broodmares are on pasture at Mikes' Hill Country Acres, and eight are expecting foals this Spring.
